Wait for it…the Launch of the New Power Chicks Website is Officially Here!
This project has been so much fun and I am thrilled to share the launch of this fabulous new website with you! This is phase one of three, so there will be more news to come as we add new features… stay tuned here because you do not want to miss out!
I have been a Power Chick myself for quite a while now. I learned about Power Chicks on Biznik where the group was originally formed by, connector magnifique, Lynn Baldwin-Rhoades. I was drawn to the group because it is based on the idea of entrepreneurs joining together in a supportive community to make connections, network, and offer insight and advice to one another. Many women (and a men too) from all over the world have gravitated to Lynn’s group to connect and network, and learn from each other and Lynn (who has over 23 years of experience helping businesses market themselves successfully).
Power Chicks has caught on like wild fire, no doubt because of Lynn’s many special qualities not the least of which are her authenticity and warm, attentive facilitation and participation in group discussions. Lynn sincerely cares about every member and it’s evident.
The group has a place on both Biznik and Facebook, where there are lively discussions, informative posts, and supportive connections taking place every day. In fact, In my experience with Facebook (which is pretty extensive…but that’s another post), I have seldom seen a page with such a consistently and actively engaged community. All of this speaks to the magnetic charm of the Power Chicks founder, as well as the fantastic group of generous and engaged entrepreneurs that make up its membership.
Within two short years, this group has grown to over 3000 members, and the time has come for them to have a home of their own on the web. That’s where the Power Chicks International website comes in. For me, the project has been a labor of love because I have been given the opportunity to help translate Lynn’s vision into reality through this website. We created a design and identity mark that reflects the upbeat, bright, and cheery personality that Power Chicks embodies, while making sure to also include serious content for serious entrepreneurs–a challenging balance to be sure, but we were up to the task, and I have to say–the result makes me smile.
Currently, the website features information about how to get involved and participate in the Power Chicks community, a page that features trusted (and tested) resources that Lynn can personally recommend to entrepreneurs entitled Stuff We Love (disclaimer: Lynn made me put her write-up about me there 
), a section devoted to nine extraordinary business and life coaches who will help you take your business to the next level (and get a Power Chicks only priority and pricing while you’re at it), a blog that will keep you updated on information that you need to know to grow your business (contributed by Lynn and her team of expert guest bloggers), and several opportunities for you to get a spotlight on your own business so the chicks can learn about you!
In the coming months, we will be rolling out a membership area on the website that will enable members to have their own profile page complete with information and links to their websites and blogs, and opportunities for members to connect and network by making friends and participating in niche groups and special forums…and that’s just the beginning.

Norma, the website is AWESOME. You did beautiful work. I love how it reflects the positive energy and spirit that Lynn infuses The Power Chicks with – you captured it well! Kudos to you and Lynn for your magnificent work to bring Power Chicks to a worldwide audience!!
